It took long enough, but plans for Chrono Cross (sequel to Chrono Trigger) have finally been confirmed! The game will be dual shock compatible and playable on PocketStation. Although Akira Toriama isn't designing the characters, the game should be very good.
Playstation 2 is going to rock the video game world! First of all, the system will come out in March of 2000 in Japan and Fall of 2000 in America. The system was presented, in its casing, on Sept. 17, 1999 at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan. The price for the system is going to be $370, this includes an 8MB memory card, and a DualShock 2 controller (everything is analog). Games from the origional Playstation will be able to be played on PlayStation 2, although games from PlayStation 2 will not be able to be played on the origional PlayStation. No one knows for sure yet if PlayStation 2 will enhance origional PlayStation games, but it probably wont. All memory cards, controllers, and even PocketStation will be able to be used with PlayStation 2. Playstation 2 will have 2 controller ports. Playstation 2 will be able to play CDs and DVDs. There is a good possibility that the next PlayStation will have a modem as a peripheral.
